  14. I'm trying to switch our department over to epsf (from psfig).  Here is a
  15. note from one of my professors who is helping to debug the new TeX 3
  16. installation.  He has written a macro that replaces old calls to psfig with
  17. calls to epsf.  Apparently, for all of his figures, he requires a
  18. Macintosh-specific prologue.  Is this available for dvipsk?

  23. None of the attempts I made at using the currently distributed Mac printer
  24. drivers have worked.  Going back to the old driver (as used in all my
  25. extant psfig documents) does require the "mac.pro" prologue file to be
  26. used.  This file is "/hatteras/usr1/lib/TeX/dvi2ps-SVB/pro/mac68.pro".
  27. The magic incantation is:
  28. dvips -f -h /hatteras/usr1/lib/TeX/dvi2ps-SVB/pro/mac68.pro < fname.dvi > fname.ps
  29. which can then be viewed with ghostview or sent to the printer.  I was
  30. hoping for something that would work with current drivers, but this is
  31. better than nothing.
